5 Small Recitals Of Allah`s Glorification With Greatest Rewards

Allah SWT has created human being in the best form, giving it the most excellent senses, skills and abilities which distinguish it from the rest of His Creations. Due to its superiority over other living beings on earth, it is also expected from it to always remember the One Who has produced a man with such perfection and stay grateful to Him as He has awarded it with innumerable blessings of life. A rightful disciple of Islam always uses its tongue for sake of Venerating the Name of the Most Beneficent. The Creator of the universe says in the Holy Quran:

Greatest rewards

“Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], “Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” [Quran, 3: 191]

In the above mentioned Ayah, the Almighty Lord describes the condition of a true believer, who always remembers the Gracious God in any case, and remains thankful to Him after reflecting on His unmatched Formations. It also comes to know the purpose behind its creation believing in the fact that the King of kings has not made anything without a purpose. The Holy Prophet ﷺ has prescribed some of the small, yet highly useful recitals for the purpose of Glorification of Allah SWT which carry the greatest rewards and bounties for the true believers.

i)                    Earning a return of thousands of good deeds

Once the Messenger ﷺ of God was sitting in a gathering of His companions, and He PBUH said:

“Is anyone of you incapable of earning one thousand Hasanah (rewards) a day?” Someone from the gathering asked, “How can anyone of us earn a thousand Hasanah?” The Prophet PBUH said: “Glorify Allah a hundred times by just saying “Subhanallah” and a Good deeds will be written for you, or a thousand sins will be wiped away.” (Muslim)

It means that saying a little phrase of “Subhanallah”, which means “Glory (be) to God” just for 100 times daily results in earning a reward that is equal to doing thousands of noble actions or removal of same number of wrongdoings of the past.

ii)                  The Extraordinary Wealth Of Jannah (Paradise)

Narrated by Abu Dhar (R.A):

“Should I not tell you of one treasure of the unlimited treasures of Paradise?” I replied spontaneously, “Oh Rasulallah (PBUH)! That would be an honor indeed!”Rasulallah (PBUH) said: “That rare treasure is LAHAWLA WA LA QUWWATA ILLA BILLAH.” (“The strength to do well and to refrain from evil comes from the grace and mercy of Allah!”) – (Ibn Majah)

It is the ultimate goal of every proper Muslim to attain the most blessed place of Jannah in the hereafter. Rasululllah ﷺ has devised a very simple, yet highly effective way of receiving a rare treasure of Paradise by reciting “LAHAWLA WA LA QUWWATA ILLA BILLAH which is to testify that Allah SWT is the Only One Whose Favor gives potency to perform good actions and His Compassion provides conscious to abstain from committing sins.

iii)                Forgiveness Of Sins Beyond Measure

Abu Hurrairah (R.A) reported Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ saying as:

“Whoever says, ‘Subhan Allaahi Wa bihamdihi, {Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise}. One hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea. (Bukhari)

The above mentioned Phrase of Admiration of the Almighty Lord, i.e. “Subhan Allaahi Wa bihamdihi” appears to be quite a small expression, but its implication is highly effective in a sense that it involves Glorification of Allah SWT by calling Him the Most Perfect and Praiseworthy. When recited just 100 times a day, the Most Merciful pardons the wrongdoings of a believer even when they are of the magnitude of foam of the entire sea.

iv)                Earning Great Rewards And Protection From Satan

Narrated by Abu Hurrairah (R.A):

”Whoever says one hundred times in a day:

“Laa ilaaha illallaah wahdahuu laa shareekalahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahu-l-hamd wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shai’in qadeer,”

(“None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Alone Who has no partners, to Him belongs Dominion and to Him belong all the Praises, and He has power over all things (i.e. Omnipotent)”

He will get the same reward as given for freeing ten slaves; and one hundred good deeds will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, and it (his saying) will be a shield for him from Satan on that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he.” (Bukhari)

The above mentioned Hadith indicates that by Glorifying the Name of Allah SWT in the form of the above stated Phrase, “Laa ilaaha illallaah wahdahuu laa shareekalahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahu-l-hamd wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shai’in qadeer” will result in getting great Bounties from the Almighty Lord. These include the reward equal to that of freeing ten slaves (remembering that this act is a highly dignified one in its importance and is according to the true spirit of Islam), Sawab (Blissful Return) of 100 good actions and deduction of 100 wrongdoings from one`s record. The greatest benefit that one gets through testifying the Greatness of Allah SWT in terms of Sole laudable of adoration, without any associates, being the Ultimate King and the Only Praiseworthy is that a person gets free from satanic influence for the rest of the day.

v)                  Four Phrases Being Greater In Reward Than Entire Morning Dhikr

According to an authentic Hadith:

The Mother of the Believers, Juwairiyah bint Al-Harith (R.A) reported that the Prophet (PBUH) came out from my apartment in the morning as I was busy in performing the dawn prayer. He came back in the forenoon and found me sitting there. The Prophet (Sallallahu said,”Are you still in the same position as I left you.” I replied in the affirmative. Thereupon the Prophet (PBUH) said, “I recited four phrases three times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all you have recited since morning, these will be heavier. These are:

Subhan-Allah Wa bihamdihi, ‘adada khalqihi, warida-a nafsihi, wa zinatah ‘arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi

(Allah is free from imperfection and I begin with His praise, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words (for His Praise).” (Muslim)

This account of the conversation of Ummul Monineen, Hazrat Juwairiyah (R.A) with Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ shows that these 4 expressions contain such tremendous Admiration of the Almighty Lord that its return is more than Remembrance of Allah SWT for the whole morning time.

In short, these five recitals of Glorification of the Creator of the world of the worlds seem to be very small apparently, but they contain the hidden treasures of greatest number of rewards from Allah SWT. May the Almighty Lord give us desire to rehearse these Phrases resulting in massive bounties in our daily life! Aameen!
